2015

On New Year's Eve, my family went to my mom's sister's house for a party. We dipped pineapple, strawberries, marshmallows, pretzels, gummy bears, and cinnamon bears in a chocolate fountain. It was quite tasty. Then, we (me, Isabelle, dad, three of my cousins, and my uncle) played Mario Kart on the Wii for an hour, until everyone except for me and two of my cousins went downstairs to play board games.  Me and the two cousins that stayed upstairs (Mitch and Ethan) played Smash Bros or whatever it's called. It was fun even though I didn't really know how to play. Then we played some other game, and then my family went home. (It was 11:30 p.m.) We watched the countdown on TV then went to bed. It was a fun night.
The next day, we went to my grandma's house for lunch, because it was New Year's Day and because it was my aunt's birthday. We had Panda Express, which was delicious.  My fortune Cookie said something like "an admirer is hiding affection from you". Weird. Anyway, after lunch me and Isabelle got in our snow clothes so we could be the first ones to get pulled on a sled by a four-wheeler. There's a field behind my grandma's house that we get pulled on. It is so much fun and super cold. Eventually some other people came outside too, so we had to share the sled with them. Me, Isabelle, and my cousin Ethan decided to hold on to the back of the sled. It sort of hurt and sometimes we fell off, but it was a blast. Then, my uncle brought out another sled. So the first sled still was pulled by the four-wheeler, but two people on the first sled would hold on to the rope of the second sled. It was fun, but sometimes the people holding on to the rope of the second sled let go or would almost fall out. But still, it was one of the funnest things ever. Then we went inside, drank hot chocolate, ate cupcakes, played ping pong, and went home. My family was having company over for dinner- my dad's brother's family. We had tacquitos for dinner and chocolate pretzel pie for dessert. All in all, it was a great day. Happy new year!
